Owner: Annie
Site Name: Lucky Number Josh
Name of Origin: From Josh's movie, Lucky Number Slevin. I came up with the
name when I was talking to a friend and I accidentally said LNJ instead of
LNS.
Domain: http://luckynumberjosh.com
Officially Opened: August 2007Lucky Number Josh is an unofficial
non-profit fansite dedicated to the unique and talented American actor Josh Hartnett. LNJ
offers fans from all around the world detailed information, updated news,
pictures and videos of Josh and his movies. The gallery currently holds
images of Josh in events, movies, magazines and photo shoots and it is
growing everyday. The LNJ FanArt section offers computer art and graphics
for fans to use like wallpapers, avatars and signatures. And the video archive
is a place to download clips of Josh in his films, in interviews and events.
As a dedicated fan, I wanted to make a fan site for Josh and for his fans.
The site started off as a free site from Geocities in Summer 2004 as a way
to kill time. But I never got round to making more than the index page. The site
layout was truly ugly due to my complete inability to design. After a few
months, I converted to Angelfire, as they offered Microsoft Frontpage
Extension and I got a free redirect domain - joshhartnett.tk.
But I hardly ever updated.
In February 2006, I was more determined to create a high quality Josh site. Fansites.ws agreed to host my site and this gave me the opportunity to build
a full site. This was also when I came up with the name, Lucky Number Josh.
The site was doing well until around February 2007, Fansites.ws had constant
downtime. I switched to Myfanhost.com, but the host crashed within a month. So, I was back at fansites.ws
and I put the site on hiatus. During the hiatus period, I improved on my
coding and design skills. In August 2007, I was ready to start the site
again. I applied for hosting at fanbased.net accepted me. A
week later, I got the money to buy a domain,
www.luckynumberjosh.com and
again I switched to a better host,
The Fan Sites Network. I
would like to thank Gertie for hosting my site.
